Dibowski, Wilhelm

Wilhelm Dibowski was an Auschwitz-Birkenau inmate from the winter of 1941/1942 until February 1943 because of his membership with the Communist Party of Germany. He was interrogated during the investigations leading to the Frankfurt Auschwitz Trial. Although an opponent of Germany’s ruling regime, he insisted that he knew of mass-murder allegations only from hearsay and from what he learned after the war. He also knew two members of the SS staff after the war, one living as a neighbor; he could only say good things about [them]. (See Rudolf 2023, pp. 493f.)
